In 1998, St. Anthony Park UCC voted to become an Open and Affirming congregation, welcoming LGBT people into the full life and ministry of the church. In 2012, the pastor and congregation engaged in the "Vote NO" campaign to defeat the proposed marriage amendment in a variety of ways: phone banking, adult education and preaching about marriage equality, financial support to Minnesotans United for All Families, and the pastor wrote a Letter to the Editor which was published in the neighborhood newspaper "The Park Bugle." St. Anthony Park UCC also marches in the annual Gay Pride parade every year, along with many other UCC churches.
We affirm that Jesus proclaimed a gospel of inclusion, and that God is love!
For those considering a wedding venue, our sanctuary features a center aisle, wood pews, stained glass windows, a two-manual Reuter organ and a Steinway grand piano.
